frequently asked questions

A few common questions answered

I’m based in Middletown, NJ (Monmouth County), but I photograph families, maternity, newborn, and Fresh 48 sessions all over New Jersey and Staten Island, NY. I love shooting in new places and am open to travel for an extra fee depending on the location.

q1 : where are you based? do you travel?

I have a bunch of beautiful outdoor spots—like the beach, creek, or fields—chosen for their soft, natural light. In-home sessions are also an option for a cozy, intimate experience, and I offer an in-studio setting for an additional fee. I’m always interested in new locations, so if you have an idea, I’m all ears! Once you book, we’ll chat locations & pick the spot that’s best for you.

q2 : where do sessions take place?

I don’t have my own studio, but there are a few local studios available to rent for sessions. I can help you find the perfect space that matches your vision.

q3 : do you have a studio?

Yes! Mini sessions are shorter, seasonal sessions perfect for holidays, milestones, or quick family updates. I offer mini sessions only a few times a year, and they include a set number of edited images, with the option to purchase the full gallery if you’d like more.

q4 : do you offer mini sessions?

Absolutely! I love helping families and individuals dream up something unique. If you have a creative idea, I’m excited to bring it to life with you.

q5 : do you do creative sessions?

Yes! I photograph professional and personal headshots for individuals, creatives, and small business owners. Sessions can be in-studio or on location, depending on the look you want.

q6 : do you do headshots?

Outdoor sessions are scheduled around golden hour—about an hour before sunset—when the light is soft, warm, and dreamy. Newborn, in-home, and headshot sessions are typically held mid-morning for the best natural light.

q7 : what time do sessions start?

After booking, you’ll receive my Style Guide with tips on coordinating outfits that photograph beautifully—think neutral tones, soft textures, and simple layers. I also have a client closet with options for the family available to borrow.

q8 : what should we wear?

It’s completely optional! Many clients love treating themselves to professional hair and makeup—it can help you feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera.

q9 : should I get my hair and makeup professionally done?

Full sessions receive a complete, hand-edited gallery of all the best images. Mini sessions include a set number of edited images, with the option to purchase the full gallery if you’d like more.

q10 : do all images come with my gallery?

Family and maternity sessions typically last about an hour. Newborn and Fresh 48 sessions can take 2-3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, snuggles, and soothing your little one. Mini sessions are shorter, usually 20 minutes.

q11 : how long do sessions last?

Your completed online gallery will be ready in about 4 weeks of your session date. I always send a few sneak peeks along the way because I know it’s hard to wait!

q12 : when will we receive our photos?

If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll reschedule for the next available date. Sessions are relaxed and flexible—no pressure, just connection. I follow your children’s lead to capture genuine, joyful moments.

q13 : what if it rains or my child isn’t in the mood?

Yes! You can easily order professional-quality prints, albums, and keepsakes right from your gallery.

q14 : do you offer prints or albums?

Simply fill out my contact form, and I’ll get back to you with more details, pricing, and availability. A signed contract and retainer officially reserve your session date.
